Farmington School District Curriculum Scope and Sequence
All of our curriculum is designed to support the overarching vision of a graduate. The curriculum standards are aligned with New Hampshire Department of Education state standards and are integrated into the fabric of learning in our School District. Student progression is designed within each content area both vertically and horizontally. The vertical alignment recognizes that as students mature and grow, they are building on key skills and knowledgem, taking them to their post secondary success. Vertical alignment ensures that students are challenged and gathering the skills and knowledge they need to be college and career ready upon matriculation. Horizontal alignment references the yearly progress of the student from September to June. Horizontal alignment ensures students are gathering the skills and knowledge need to move to the next grade level.
What is a Scope and Sequence Model
A scope and sequence model is a road map of the progression of learning a student makes as they move from Kindergarten to graduation. Scope and sequence models are available by gradelevel and content area. Please visit the school based competencies to learn more.
